No PennKey?

Are you affiliated with the Health System or are you a CHOP employee? Do you have one of the following affiliations?

If so, you are eligible to log in with a PennKey account. Visit the Penn Medicine GET A SET-UP CODE page for a list of locations where you can get a code that grants you a PennKey. (We encourage you to get a PennCard at the same time). Then visit the Van Pelt Circulation desk to open a library account.
If you have questions, please contact the business or Human Resources office at your school, center, or department.
PennCard benefits: UPHS affiliates without PennCards have a one-1 year registration and a 28 day loan period. A PennCard confers the status of "staff" with a 5 year registration and a 3 month loan period for most materials.

(We encourage you to get a PennCard at the same time). Then visit the Van Pelt Circulation desk to open a library account.

Are you a Penn Alum?

If your most recent term was before 1975, please contact the office of Development and Alumni Relations, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, to request a PennKey. The credentialing process involves receiving a code via US Mail that can be used to create a PennKey.

Are you a Courtesy Borrower or are you trying to access your carrel, study, or journal account?
